Ono Hawaiian BBQ – a fast-growing family-owned chain helmed by Joshua Liang – will soon open seven new LA outposts in Hollywood (5500 Sunset Boulevard), South Pasadena (1101 1/2 Fair Oaks Avenue), Pasadena (230 S. Lake Avenue), Ladera Heights (6821 South La Cienega Blvd), Highland (Greenspot & 210 Freeway), Carson (20715 South Avalon Blvd), and Sylmar (12631 Glenoaks Boulevard).

Founded in 2002, Ono has long been known for its authentic Hawaiian plate lunches and other island specialties made using the freshest ingredients, prepared from scratch daily in each restaurant, and grilled fresh to order. With nearly 100 stores and counting, Ono’s growth has been steady despite industry challenges. In fact, in 2019 Ono successfully opened 12 stores and predicted 12-14 new outposts for the following year.

The chain serves plate lunches that include protein, rice, and veggies; island favorites like grilled Spam and eggs; aloha plates; mini meals that combine protein, one scoop of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and vegetables; loaded family meals; keiki (kids) meals; gourmet salads; and appetizers & sides like Spam musubi and crab rangoons.
