The proposed project is being led by Robertson Properties Group, an affiliate of The Decurion Corporation, which is also the parent company of Pacific Theatres Exhibition Corporation. Pacific Theatres announced earlier this year that it would not reopen its Chatworth location, which has been shuttered since March of 2020, and the corporation subsequently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in June.

Plans for the Chatsworth property call for phasing out the 140,000-square-foot movie theater building’s remaining tenants, which include gym Orangetheory Fitness and a yogurt shop, and then demolishing the structure to make way for three standalone light industrial warehouse buildings totaling 273,500 square feet.

The project would include a pair of approximately 58,000-square-foot buildings and one 157,230-square-foot building. The development would reach a maximum height of 50 feet.

Designs for the industrial development are being led by Irvine-based HPA Architecture, planning documents show.
