Franchisee Tim Nguyen will operate this new Pizza Factory Express and expects to open it sometime in Summer 2022. Like most franchisees of this company, Ngyuen is a veteran of other pizza chains. “I’m very familiar with the delivery and carry-out operations and see a ton of opportunity with Pizza Factory’s Express model,” he said. Although there are dozens of locations across California, this will be the closest location to Los Angeles, with the only LA County location being in Acton.

Pizza Factory Inc. was founded in 1979 by husband-wife duo Danny and Carol Wheeler. In 1986, the couple decided to start franchising the company when a friend wanted to open their own Pizza Factory locations. Mary Jane Riva became president and CEO of Pizza Factory Inc. in 2012. Then, in 2021, the company released a slimmed-down, low-cost model to increase the expansion of Pizza Factory Express within the company. Now, Nguyen is getting ready to become the first franchisee to expand into Orange County.

“I’ve always had a love for the pizza space and knew I wanted to open my own pizzeria one day,” Nguyen said in an announcement. “Pizza Factory stood out to me because of its freshly prepared products, community connections, and attractive build-out options. I instantly saw the brand’s potential for growth and the opportunity owners have to become multi-unit operators, which is something I’m definitely excited about.”
