The company’s seventh location will move into the former home of Chin Chin, which has severed the community for the past 25 years. Co-owner Jonathan Goldwasser tells What Now Los Angeles he and Carol Roizen hope to open the new location by the end of 2022. The couple first opened Parakeet Café in La Jolla in July 2017, followed by a second in Little Italy. Goldwasser says he is “very excited to be in Beverly Hills.” All other locations can be found in San Diego County.

When the first Los Angeles location opens, customers can expect a variety of healthy foods that appeal to health-conscious, non-dieters, vegans, vegetarian, paleo, keto, and gluten-free eaters. The restaurant takes pride in using high-quality ingredients found on local organic farms. The restaurant’s menu will feature breakfast served all day, such as toasts, breakfast burritos, and various bowl options. There will also be a good amount of salads, sandwiches, sharable plates, and sides to choose from. For a quick bite, Parakeet Cafe will have a handful of pastries.

As for drinks, there will be a coffee program consisting of options that complement the menu and the company’s philosophy, made with ethically sourced beans, house-made syrups, wellness lattes made with adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms, and alternative milk. For non-coffee drinkers, there are also organic teas that are packed with probiotics.

“Our personal journey has led us to find and explore the life-altering powers of organic, whole-foods and ethically sourced ingredients,” according to the cafe’s website. “This goodness that makes us happier, healthier and lets us connect with our own bodies and others.”
