The first brick-and-mortar will sit within an 803 square-foot location, set to open sometime in 2022. Owners Sam Howland and Bryan Marasco first started selling their ice cream in 2015 with the hopes of infusing local craft beer into every batch of ice cream. Last year, the pair of childhood friends opened their first production facility and began shipping their delicious ice cream across the nation. Now, Howland and Marasco are getting ready to open their first storefront right in Downtown Covina.

The new creamery will use their new space to make their EPIC ice cream, including their plant-based recipes, signature series, their keto ice cream, and craft/wine/ and spirit-infused ice cream. One example of their delectable creations is the Log Cabin, a new flavor inspired by Pure Brewing’s recent releases. This specific flavor involves Maple and Vanilla ice cream with a fudge swirl and chunks of fudge brownies infused with Log Cabin maple vanilla bourbon barrel-aged stout.

If you prefer your drinks and desserts separate, the new space will serve beer, wine, and spirits, both on the side and within specific creations, such as beer floats. They will also serve ice cream sandwiches (sandos) with rice crispies. Finally, the duo will be making fresh handmade waffle cones right in-store every day. It’s safe to say the pair of owners are very excited about this new venture and hope to bring some new and exciting desserts to Covina.

“We have been dreaming of this day for six years, and it has taken every dollar in our pocket, farmers market, festival booth, catering gig, blood, sweat, tears, love from our friends and family, and every customer who has supported us to get to this moment,” according to their Instagram. “We can’t wait to show you everything we have planned, but we can honestly say it is going to be a mind-blowingly cool space.”
