Originally named The Pie Room by Gwen (a la Stone’s Sunset Boulevard eatery Gwen), the pastry biz (and a temporary marketplace) operated out of Stone’s shuttered restaurant Maude during the pandemic.

Maude made a resilient comeback shortly after closing, and, of course, pushed the pie-based pop-up out of its space. Fortunately, TPR will return as a stationary iteration at Topanga Social and the first brick-and-mortar for the concept.

“Relax with a beverage and something sweet at one of the tables outside on the patio,” explains the Westfield Topanga website of Stone’s incoming creation, “or take some treats home to enjoy with a crowd.”

If all remains consistent at the new spot, the Michelin Star award-winning chef will serve up sweet and savory pastries abundantly inspired by his Australian roots, like salted caramel apple pies and lamb curry hotpots.

Stone and his team did not respond to WNLA‘s request for comment.
