Alex Guarachi, the founder of Titan, started its parent company TGIC in 1978. TGIC stands for Thank God It’s Chilean, an ode to Guarachi’s native country.

Under TGIC, which has been honored by Wine Enthusiast magazine as Importer of the Year, Titan Wine & Spirits operates independently.

Currently, Titan has an in-store shopping locale in Woodland Hills. It’s unclear if the incoming store will become the company’s second venue or replace the existing operation.

A What Now Los Angeles interview with Guarachi regarding details like a possible tasting room and food options is forthcoming.
