“Voodoo Vin is finally opening after years of construction, permit delays, and COVID-19 precautions,” Hekmat recently posted to the Voodoo Vin Instagram. The company started taking pre-orders for its wine on August 25 and officially opened Tuesday, September 1.

Once indoor seating is allowed, which could be as early as after Labor Day, Hekmat will open up the space to serve its full potential as not only a retail space for over 400 wine options from around the world but as a Euoropean-influenced wine bar and restaurant.

“We look forward to the day we can welcome you all inside for a glass or a bottle,” Hekmat writes of the opening on the restaurant’s website. “Until then, due to the global pandemic, we are open in a limited capacity as an online and take away wine shop.”

Voodoo Vin’s philosophy is to “sell only the best possible natural wines made by winemakers who go beyond the typical organic and biodynamic farming practices,” the website states. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Order can be placed online, via phone, or direct message on social media. “If you’re in the neighborhood, you can always order what you need at the door,” the company wrote on its Instagram earlier this week. Orders over $150, and within a two-mile radius of the shop, qualify for delivery.
