As they enter their 30th anniversary year, Wetzel’s Pretzels is continuing to stake their claim to pretzel fame with the debut of their monumental 400th location in the heart of Los Angeles on Hollywood Blvd.
Located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd Suite 101 across from the Jimmy Kimmel studios and next door to the TCL Chinese Theatre, Wetzel’s 400th location is owned and operated by existing franchisee Abu Taher.
A grand opening event is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring representatives from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and a parade performance down the Hollywood Walk of Fame led by The LA Marching Band. In addition, select pretzel lovers will receive a complimentary Original Pretzel on the day of the event.
“A ton of tremendous work goes into building a brand legacy that’s 400 units strong and to say we’re proud is an understatement,” said Wetzel’s Pretzels Chief Operating Officer Vincent Montanelli in a statement. “Wetzel’s got its start 30 years ago in Redondo Beach, CA, and we’re honored to mark this milestone moment in our brand’s history by opening this landmark location close to where we began all those years ago.”
The Pasadena-born brand has certainly made a name for itself in the snack category opening 40 new units this past year in several new markets including Detroit, MI, Brooklyn, NY and Toronto, Canada.
“The brand has come a long way in 30 years and it’s remarkable to be a part of such a historic moment in Wetzel’s history,” said Franchisee Abu Taher. “It is my privilege to represent this brand’s milestone location and serve the millions of tourists who make their way through LA’s iconic Hollywood Blvd every year.”
Wetzel’s new location will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and serve the brand’s classic menu including Bitz, Pepperoni Twists, Wetzel Dogs, Fresh Lemonade and more.
