The company’s second site is set to move into the former home of Wood Ranch within The Grove shopping center, according to Eater Los Angeles. The restaurant, led by partners Paul Hibler and Jeff Goodman of American Gonzo Food Corp and Bruce Horwitz of the Tasting Kitchen, is expected to open in late Fall 2024, featuring its side concept, The Window, providing the space with smash burgers through a window on the south side of the restaurant. American Beauty first opened in Venice in late 2019.

The trio of owners have a slew of help with them on this new location, as they did with the first one. Acclaimed design firm Frederick Fisher and Partners will bring new life to the 6,500-square-foot interior and attached patio. The kitchen will be led by chefs Elisha Ben-Haim and Evan Hickey, who will source their meat products from Santa Carota, Creekstone Farms, and Flannery Beef. The iconic open-air horseshoe bar will also be found at the new site. Unlike the Venice location, the Grove will only be open for lunch and brunch, which is entirely different than the Venice location’s dinner-only service.

“Great product curation drives American Beauty’s mission,” according to the company’s website. “Chef Elisha Ben-Haim’s menu showcases the wide range of beef, seafood, and vegetables available at farmers’ markets in Southern California. Steak is the star of the show, and our menu features a range of beef cuts, grades, and aging techniques. Much of the food is touched by fire, and all steaks are grilled over almond wood. Our open-air horseshoe bar is equally suited for dropping in for a couple of drinks or enjoying a full meal. We offer a broad range of local and small-production spirits, craft cocktails and beers, and a wine list with over 200 selections.”
