This one-of-a-kind dog lover’s beer garden/ social club/retail experience is the latest addition to the upcoming West Harbor waterfront development, which features 42 acres of dining and entertainment options. Some restaurants that will help launch this massive $150 redevelopment include Yamashiro, Poppy + RoseMike Hess Brewing, and more, all expected to open sometime in 2023. While most of the development and restaurants will open next year, dog lovers will have to wait until early 2024 to finally see Bark Social.

The wait will be worth it. When this new dog-lover social hub comes to life in a few years, it will feature free high-speed wifi and TVs inside and out, a delicious food and drink menu for both humans and dogs, over 20 different craft beer options, plus climate-controlled clubhouses, self-serve dog baths, and more. This will be an excellent opportunity for anyone with a furry friend to grab a drink and potentially meet some new people while watching the game. This concept has only been seen in Maryland, where the company operates in Bethesda and Baltimore under co-founder Jeff Kurtzman. A new Philadelphia location is opening this fall.

“We cannot wait to open our first Bark Social location in California in the new West Harbor development,” said Luke Silverman, Co-Founder, and CEO of Bark Social, in a press release. “This new development is bringing a wonderful group of businesses together, and it was a great opportunity to expand our unique dog social club to a new city. We look forward to welcoming the local community and furry friends year-round when our doors open!”
