A concept called G’s Il Capo Dei Bar is coming to 225 Richmond Street in El Segundo, the former home of Deluca Pasta, and will be helmed by Gina Traber. Traber’s company, Mama Beers, Inc., was previously erroneously listed as the incoming establishment’s name.

Traber explains, “The [moniker] comes from my name, Gina. I have been a longtime resident and previous business owner in town. Il Capo Dei Bar is “The Boss of Bars” in Italian, and lends a hint to what’s inside.”

The incoming space is a cozy, brick-laden building within a quaint retail stretch including Purple Orchid and Good Stuff.

Traber, who used to own Brewport Taphouse & Kitchen, says “G’s will be a modernized speakeasy restaurant with a full menu of unique small bites and meals. The family-friendly atmosphere will include areas to watch your favorite sports as well as a newly-expanded full-service bar.”

G’s will also offer comfortable lounge areas to enjoy cocktails and a patio where guests can relax surrounded by lush greenery, water fountains, and a European outdoor bistro vibe.

Traber anticipates a winter 2023 opening.

This article has been edited for accuracy. The incoming business will be named G’s Il Capo Dei Bar, not Mama Beers; Mama Beers is the name of Owner Gina Traber’s company. Additionally, Traber is no longer the owner of Brewport Taphouse.
