The unnamed 11,755 square-foot restaurant is expected to open in April 2022. The newest restaurant will sit at the top of the Trust Building in Downtown Los Angeles and be used as a restaurant, bar, and event space. There will also be a 3,500 square-foot ground space to help boost draw more customers in. During the day, the rooftop restaurant within the Art Deco structure will host only the building’s tenants. Starting at 5 pm, the restaurant will open its doors to the public.

Curtis takes on this challenge with his restaurateur brother, Luke Stone. Not much has been released regarding this new restaurant, other than its location and opening date. What is known is that the menu will highlight farmers and natural ingredients. The rooftop restaurant is a part of the building’s $40 million makeover from the Rising Realty Partners and Limestone Investments, which acquired the building in 2015.

Curtis Stone is quickly becoming one of the hottest international chefs to takeover Los Angeles’ restaurant scene. In 2014, Stone opened his first restaurant in Beverly Hills, called Maude, and earned a Michelin star for the restaurant only five years later. In 2016, Stone opened his second restaurant in Hollywood, named Gwen. Both restaurants were named after his paternal and maternal grandmothers, respectively. Although the name of this new restaurant is unknown, some could guess it could be the name of another one of his relatives.

“This is a milestone for office culture, Downtown Los Angeles, and our city’s rebounding restaurant economy,” says Rising Realty Partners Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Rising. “To see Curtis Stone remain hopeful and excited about this burgeoning area above all others across the city truly validates its future and contributes to its reawakening. We can’t wait to finally welcome companies and their employees back to the office. We shape our buildings, and in turn, they shape us.”
