The nearly two-decade-old West Hollywood eatery, at 8162 Sunset Blvd, is closing after service November 26, according to a post on the Kura Instagram page.

Kura’s closure does not come as a surprise.

8150 Sunset, a massive mixed-use development designed by Frank Gehry, is planned on the land where Kura and other businesses are housed.

Once complete, the Townscape development would offer 229 apartments and 65,000 square feet of commercial space.

Eventually, all of the commercial tenants in the low-rise buildings that are set to be razed will soon close their doors if they haven’t already.

“…It’s been a helluva run to have been in business for over 18 years,” according to the social media post.

“Our family is forever grateful for your patronage and love. The hardest part of this last page in our chapter is saying goodbye to those we have made true genuine bonds with.”

Now until its last day later this month, Kura is open for dinner only, Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
