Osteria Cal Mare and LAMILL Coffee will cease operation after service on Sunday, December 22, a company spokesperson Wednesday shared with What Now Los Angeles in an email.

Cal Mare first made its L.A. debut, at 8500 Beverly Blvd Suite 115, in November 2017.

“We are grateful to all of our staff and guests for all of their support in the time that we’ve been open,” MINA Group, the parent company of the hospitality businesses, said in a prepared statement.

“Additionally, there are no longer plans to open The Street at the Beverly Center. We look forward to welcoming our guests at one of our other restaurants in the greater Southern California region and nationwide.”

Chef Adam Sobel will continue as the corporate chef within the MINA Group.

The company did not provide an explanation for the closures.

“From the very beginning, MINA Group understood and shared our vision for transforming Beverly Center into an exciting dining destination,” Taubman, Beverly Center’s owner, shared as part of the same statement.

“Together, we endeavored to create a top-notch dining experience and Osteria Cal Mare helped contribute to that goal. We are sad to see it close and sincerely thank the restaurant’s dedicated team and loyal customers.”

As for the impending food hall, Taubman has “decided to integrate other non-hospitality uses on Level 8.”

“As such, MINA Group and Taubman together determined that The Street is not the right idea for the space. Plans for our new food hall will be integrated with other concepts as opposed to being a stand-alone venture. Though MINA Group will no longer have a presence at Beverly Center, we enjoy a successful partnership with the organization at International Market Place in Waikiki.”

The Beverly Center recently underwent a $500 million revamp and as the “reimagination continues, we will bring exciting dining options to the market, including Akira Back Steak that will open very soon.”
