Paul Hibler's The Win~Dow is known for slinging affordable burgers through the window in Venice

There is an update to this post: The Win~Dow Opening Third Location in Silver Lake

Superba Food + Bread’s owner Paul Hibler is apparently opening up a third location in East LA for The Win~Dow but hopes to keep the specific address a surprise for now. With the success of Hibler’s previous projects Suberba and Pitfire Pizza, the latter of which opened over 20 years ago, Hibler was able to open up The Win~Dow and then American Beauty on the same Rose Avenue property, along with other Superba concepts like Superba Snacks + Coffee in Pasadena and North Hollywood.

American Beauty serves steaks and a full cocktail menu — including cocktails and bottled spirits to-go. Unlike American Beauty, which has remained closed for the duration of COVID, The Win~Dow at American Beauty offers a more casual fare like cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers, the Beauty Burger (a good choice for vegetarians, as it’s an “impossible burger”), bowls, salads, french fries, and Fried Chicken Sandwiches.

What Now Los Angeles reached out to Hibler and a PR rep for American Gonzo Food Corp, neither of whom felt comfortable releasing any more details, as The Win~Dow is still in the process of securing the lease. While no address is yet known for the third location, the standing locations of The Win~Dow at American Beauty and on the Venice Boardwalk are known for their very affordable burgers, costing even less than a McDonald’s quarter-pounder with cheese.

(Edited: an earlier version of this article said there is only one standing location of The Win~Dow while there are actually two. Also edited for clarity that The Win~Dow came before American Beauty at the same location)
