Pokitomik, the poke bar found throughout Los Angeles and Ventura County, is opening new locations in Montebello and Canoga Park.
The first to open will be the Montebello location at 1461 N Montebello Boulevard, moving into the former home of Subway in the Montebello Town Square. Although Yelp has the business listed as open on its website, Pokitomik’s lease doesn’t start until August 2022, according to a recent lease report from CoStar. The franchised-focused company will also eventually add a new location in Canoga Park, making it the seventh location for the company, all in Southern California.
It’s an impressive move for Pokitomik, considering the company recently opened a new location in Northridge at the beginning of the month. The fast-growing poke chain that first opened in late 2017 from Glendale also has locations in North Hollywood, Simi Valley, and Thousand Oaks. When these new locations open, customers will have the option to customize their poke creations as burritos, bowls, or tacos. No matter which option you select, there will be a variety of bases, proteins, marinations, and toppings to choose from.
“For centuries, Hawaiian fishermen cut their catch of raw fish into cubes and seasoned it with whatever ingredients they had to create a one-of-a-kind, flavorful dish,” according to the company’s website. “At PokiTomik, we have taken this classic Hawaiian dish and dropped it with our own explosive, delicious, modern, and creative bomb!”
