Owner David Robicheau tells What Now Los Angeles he expects to open the new restaurant in the former home of Restauration by late March 2022. He says the new brick-and-mortar, the company’s first, will be 80% patio, with a little more cajun than their catering website offers. Shady Grove Oak Grill has made a name by serving mouthwatering BBQ and cajun-creole cuisine to any party in Los Angeles County and Orange County.

David, and his father, Dennis Robicheau, are experts in southern comfort meals from Louisiana. The two have created a world-famous French Quarter brunch catering that features over 30 years of perfecting their authentic recipes, homemade sauces, and grilling techniques. The duo built Shady Grove’s repertoire upon a foundation of family recipes and the massive cultural diversity of Southern and Central California. Other influences include Thai, New Mexican, Santa Maria BBQ, Classic French, and beyond.

“Shady Grove Foods specializes in cooking Southern cuisine to mouthwatering perfection, made to order,” according to their website. “Our menus include both slow-smoked, Santa Maria-style barbecue and the Cajun-Creole flavors of Louisiana-style bayou food. We have all the classic meats, dishes, and sides in our menu — including our handcrafted bacon.”
