The owner of a two-story, four-unit apartment building in the Silver Lake neighborhood has submitted plans to replace it with a six-story, 17-unit apartment building, according to a planning case opened by the city this month. The owner and applicant behind the project is Tomer Tzadok.

Per project plans, the existing building would be demolished to make way for a new 67-foot-tall, roughly 15,000-square-foot residential building at 969 Manzanita St. The 7,439-square-foot project site is southeast of the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and North Hoover Street.

The project would include nine automobile spaces in an underground garage.

Designed by Encino-based firm Merkavah Studio, the new project would also include amenities such as a 400-square-foot gym at the garage level and a 718-square-foot rooftop area.

Los Angeles County property records show the existing building was acquired in 2014 for $827,000.
