The new building will rise at 10822 Wilshire Boulevard, just east of the Westwood Presbyterian Church. Along with 53 independent living units, 77 assisted living units, and 46 Alzheimer’s/dementia care units, the project includes a new two-story church preschool building at the southern portion of the development site, which is entirely owned by the church. The site’s existing church preschool and administrative spaces will be demolished, while the church building along Wilshire Boulevard will be retained.

Plans call for amenities to include an indoor pool, screening room, dining room, lounge, bistro, gym, and outdoor terraces. The new residential building will also include a 2,520-square-foot Fellowship Hall for use by the church.

The project will provide at least 184 parking spaces across three underground parking levels and a ground-level parking area adjacent to the new preschool facility.

A national developer and owner of senior residential care facilities, Belmont Village submitted plans for the project in 2018. The Houston-based company has developed seven other projects in the Los Angeles area, including another Westwood community at 10475 Wilshire Blvd.

Designs for its 10822 Wilshire Blvd. project are being led by GMPA Architects for the eldercare facility and KFA Architecture for the new preschool building.
