The Butcher’s Daughter Expands to West Hollywood

Founder Heather Tierney has filed for a liquor license at 8755 Melrose Avenue, indicating an expansion of The Butcher’s Daughter into West Hollywood. With three restaurants in New York, and a restaurant and food truck in Venice, this newest addition would mark The Butcher’s Daughter’s second Californian outpost.

According to its official website, the Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based restaurant, cafe, juice bar, and “vegetable slaughterhouse” that “treats fruits and vegetables as a butcher would meat: chopping, filleting & carving fresh produce into healthy vegetarian dishes and pressing them into pretty juices.” The restaurant is committed to buying produce from local and organic farms, incorporating seasonal fruits and veggies into its signature dishes, juices, and cocktails.

The Butcher’s Daughter prides itself in its wholly vegetarian menu that also features vegan and gluten-free options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. The menu is brimming with delectable eats as diverse as the Spinach and Mushroom Frittata, the Spicy Kale Caesar Salad, and the Dolce Picante Pizza (stilton blue cheese, amber honey, bosc pear, fig mustard, red chile flakes, arugula). Entrees include Pad Thai Rice Noodles; Walnut Pesto Fusilli Noodles; and the Butcher’s Burger (black bean and buckwheat patty, gruyere, red-wine caramelized onions, arugula, fig mustard, harissa mayo, brioche bun, and rosemary potato wedges). For dessert, indulge in the Citrus Cake (orange blossom chantilly, raspberry, candied orange peel) or the Chocolate Matcha Cake (coconut-matcha buttercream, toasted almond, chocolate bark). Every dish is guaranteed to dazzle and delight your taste buds.
